How to Book a Day-Use Room on OODA, Step by Step
12 October 2026 · 2 min read
OODA is a marketplace for daytime hotel bookings in Lebanon. You book a room for a session — not a night — at a published rate. Here is the whole process.
Step 1 — Choose a hotel
Browse the listings or search by city. Every listing shows the property, its rooms, its features and its day-use rates up front. There is no enquiry step and no waiting for someone to quote you a price.
Today the platform is anchored on Al Murjan Palace Hotel in Jounieh — a four-star boutique property with 35 rooms, a pool, and views over the Mediterranean and Mount Harissa. More properties are being added.
Step 2 — Pick your day
Choose the single date you want. Day-use is a one-day product: you are booking a session on a specific day, not a stretch of nights. There is no check-out date to think about.
Step 3 — Pick your session
Two blocks are available:
- 06:00 – 12:00 — mornings. Work, an early swim, a quiet start.
- 12:00 – 18:00 — afternoons. Pool, lunch, occasions, unwinding.
Pick one. The session is a fixed block, so plan to arrive when it starts.
Step 4 — Choose your room
At Al Murjan the day-use options are:
- Deluxe Sea View — $40
- Junior Suite — $70
- King Suite — $100
- Conference Room — $50 (up to 25 people)
- Private Rooftop Lounge — $100
You can book more than one where you need to — a meeting room plus a room to work from, or a rooftop plus somewhere to change.
Step 5 — Confirm
Enter your details and submit the booking. You will get a confirmation by email, and the hotel receives the reservation directly. Nothing is negotiated over WhatsApp and no price changes at the desk.
On the day
Arrive at the start of your session with ID. Reception checks you in the way they check in any guest and hands you a key. You have the room and the hotel's facilities for your block. At the end you return the key and settle anything you ordered.
Common questions
Do I pay online or at the hotel? Follow the instructions on your confirmation — payment terms are set by the property.
Can I book both sessions? Usually yes, giving you 06:00–18:00. Check the overnight rate first; sometimes a night costs about the same and includes an evening.
Is the pool included? Day guests have access to the hotel's facilities, but pool hours can be shorter than your session. Ask when you book if it is the main reason you are coming.
How many people can come? Rooms have occupancy limits. Declare the real number when you book.
What if I need to change or cancel? Contact the property using the details on your confirmation. Terms are set by the hotel.
Why book this way
Day-use has existed in Lebanon for years, arranged by phone and by word of mouth, with prices agreed on arrival and no record of anything. Booking it properly — published rate, written confirmation, a real reservation in the hotel's system — is simply better for everyone involved. That is all OODA is.
